Affordable 4 Star Hotel at Karon Beach

The Andaman Seaview Hotel Phuket is a mid-sized, four-star hotel set near the southern end of Karon Beach on Phuket’s west coast. Its location is ideal for beach lovers looking for comfortable, budget-friendly accommodation within easy reach of the sand.

Karon Beach is just across the road, while Kata Beach is only a 15-minute walk over the hill.

The hotel is tucked down a side street just off the main road, offering a quieter stay away from the bustle of the beach road.

During our stay at the hotel, we found it easy to get around as it is close to all the shopping, restaurants and bars at the southern end of Karon and just over the hill into Kata, and within walking distance to Karon Circle on the northern end of the beach.

The hotel attracts a mix of travellers, including families, couples and solo guests, which gives it an easygoing holiday feel without being too busy or impersonal.

Even though this isn't a new hotel, we found our room to be clean, comfortable and spacious. Our room was cleaned and restocked daily with fresh towels, drinking water and tea and coffee. The staff were super friendly, and the breakfast was excellent.

What we enjoyed most about our stay was the swimming pools, the proximity to the beach and the peaceful atmosphere within the hotel grounds.

We found our room at the Andaman Seaview Hotel tastefully decorated, with a good mix of rooms on offer, consisting of 161 rooms in total, including superior and deluxe rooms, pool access rooms and family suites.

All the rooms at the Andaman Seaview Hotel are spacious, with air-conditioning throughout. Each room or suite has either a balcony or terrace.

Outdoor dining at the Andaman Seaview Hotel

Dining options at the Andaman Seaview Hotel include the in-house Maneekram restaurant; the restaurant has an international menu for all-day dining, and there are also kids' menus available.

We enjoyed a delicious lunch from the pool bar, which had a variety of cold beverages, snacks and some lunchtime favourites, including sandwiches, hamburgers, and pizzas; however, for most of our meals we mainly dined at the nearby restaurants outside the hotel.

During the high season, you can also enjoy BBQ dinners on the Sunset Terrace.

Travel Tips

The Andaman Seaview Hotel is a great choice for a relaxing vacation with family or friends. Within a short distance, you have all the facilities you need, with a choice of delicious restaurants, shopping and relaxing massages.

There are also fun activities for kids that are located close by; our kids always enjoyed spending a couple of hours at the Dino Park mini golf course, which is only a couple of minutes' walk from the hotel.

There are five restaurants located directly in front of the resort with delicious seafood and Thai cuisine.

If you're looking for beachside dining, make your way across the road to Tann Terrace Beach Club, at the southern end of Karon Beach, where you can enjoy the ocean views and delicious meals.

Just so you know, upon arrival at the hotel, the hotel will request a damage deposit of 3,000 Thai Baht; this is nothing unusual, but usually you can use your card as a damage deposit. However, the hotel requests this to be paid in cash.

On checkout, we were reimbursed the full amount, but again the refund was in cash. This wasn't an issue, but you will need to ensure you have enough cash on you to pay on arrival.
