Night Life in Phuket

Night life in Phuket is fun, exciting and colourful. It is one of the main attractions apart from the beaches and the Thai hospitality, as to why people keep returning to this amazing Island.

When the sun goes down in Phuket it is time to party, with a wide variety of places to go, from hundreds of small beer bars, pubs, go-go clubs and nightclubs that are full of Thai girls.

The variety of Phuket entertainment and nightlife reflects the variety of people that visit the Island.

The best nightlife in Phuket can be found around Bangla Road, otherwise known as Soi Bangla where you will find go go bars and Thai girls cruising the street and touting for bar customers.

To the more classy bars and discos for those that like clubing, and some of the most entertaining live music performances in Thailand. Not to be missed is the amazing Fantasea or Simon Cabaret transvestite show.

Patong Beach is the main hub for Nightlife in Phuket, in particular Bangla Road, which is full of go-go bars, lady boys and thai girls pole dancing. Bangla Road is closed to traffic from 6.00pm and ready to party.

If you are traveling to Phuket with your children, you may decide that this is not the place for you at night, in saying that our kids loved the experience. The first time we took the kids into Bangla Road after dark, our youngest was only 11 years old.

Everyone is welcome to go to the beer bars and go go bars in Phuket. You will see families and couples sitting in the bars. For most visitors to Phuket a visit to a go go bar is at the top of their list of Phuket entertainment things to do.

Some of the best night life in Phuket can also be the cheapest nightlife - people watching from the bars, a fantastic night out with family and friends whilst mingling with the locals.

We found the best place to sit back and enjoy a drink and watch the night go by was opposite Soi Crocodile and Soi Eric in a bar called the Ship Wreck.

There are also bars around Otop in Rat U Thit Road, behind the Holiday Inn that are worth a visit.
